So I ride a motorcycle

I called this blog Motorcyling Through Life so I guess I should explain. I grew up looking at pictures of my Dad and his friends with Harleys and Indians in the 40's. When I was little, anytime I saw a motorcycle go by (not too often on our quiet country road) I would think, someday I'm going to ride one of those. Then when I was about 15 my boyfriend have a minibike. We would ride that thing 2-up for hours. I can't believe we both fit! We sure wouldn't now!!!! Then I finally got my first ride on a "real" motorcycle when I was 16. WOW, did I love it. Fast forward a few years, I'm married with 2 little kids and my husband at the time decides to buy his brother's old 250CC Ducati. Before you know it, we have a 450CC Honda then move up to an 1100CC Yamaha. We take our first tour and decide I should get my license so we can travel as a family by motorcycle. I got my license in 1983 and my life changed! I joined Women On Wheels(r) and a whole new life opened up for me. I started traveling and became more and more independant. Just a couple years ago I got divorced after 32 years of marriage. The day I got my divorce, I went right from court to my motorcycle dealer and ordered another bike. Oh the stories I have to tell about my riding adventures, but they can wait for another day!
